The first ever Siddhartha Festival took place in 2016 to celebrate the Buddha’s life and teachings at the place where he attained enlightenment: under the Bodhi tree in Bodhgaya, India. The festival was attended by 700 people from different parts of the world. Over three days, participants attended teachings, musical offerings, devotional prayer workshops, conversations and storytelling from the Buddha’s life. Scheduled to take place on alternate years, our team is intimately involved in the production and organising of the Siddhartha Festival. The next Siddhartha Festival is scheduled to take place from 16th - 18th November, 2018. Registrations begin in the summer of 2018. The Siddhartha Festival is an initiative of Siddhartha’s Intent India under the vision and guidance of Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche.
